During a Hillcrest vs. Lone Tree doubleheader, the Hillcrest crowd grew evermore impatient, ready for the main event.
The wait was well worth it.
The Hillcrest Ravens beat the Lone Tree Lions 67-50 in a competitive outing. This win gave Hillcrest an 11-4 record while Lone Tree dropped to 5-8.
Hillcrest's offense stuttered, not living to it's full potential for a good portion of the first three quarters, allowing Lone Tree to keep it close. Lone Tree even snagged a lead at various points.
But Hillcrest did not falter, eventually finding their footing in the fourth quarter to win comfortably.
The recent snowstorms played major role in why each team started slow. Practices have been few and far between and this game could be viewed as a scrimmage of sorts to get back on track.
